A lot depends upon your operating system and the version of word you're using.
I'm using Word 2007 on Vista. If you are, then
1) Choose 'Page Layout' tab
2) Click on 'Margins' in 'Page Setup' group
3) Click 'Custom Margins...' at the bottom
4) In the 'Margins' section, set whatever 'Right' margin you want.
